Tuesday Morning Coffee and Cake

Tuesday morning’s Coffee and Cake sessions are in the Thomas Field Hall – Tuesdays from 10:30am to 12:00 noon. Any enquiries to Hilary Catchpole at h.catchpole@btinternet.com .

BHA Collection

Philip from British Humanitarian Aid will be coming to collect donated goods for Ukraine on Sunday 23rd April after the 9.00am service.  Please leave any donations by the font from Friday 21st April as Philip is likely to leave promptly after the service.

LIST OF ITEMS NEEDED

  • SANITARY ITEMS, toilet rolls and wipes
  • NAPPIES, INCONTINENCE PADS and waterproof mattress protectors
  • CLOTHING – must be clean and serviceable. Sort into ages: baby, primary, secondary, ladies and men
  • FOOTWARE in reasonable condition. Sort into children’s, ladies and men.
  • TOILETRIES – shampoo, bodywash, soap, razors, make-up, babycare, tooth- paste and brushes
  • BEDDING – sheets, duvet and blankets
  • TOWELS, CURTAINS, tablecloths and fabrics
  • PLATES, BOWLS, MUGS and cutlery l KETTLES and SAUCEPANS
  • WASHING POWDER, DISHWASHER POWDER and cleaning materials
  • CANDLES and matches
  • TORCHES – wind-up or with batteries
  • SMALL SOFT TOYS
  • TINNED FOODS, DRIED FOODS (NOT cereals), TEA, COFFEE and LONG LIFE MILK
  • WHEELCHAIRS, crutches, walking sticks, wheeled walkers and baby buggies
  • ADULT BICYCLES
  • POWER BANKS, unlocked ’phones and chargers
  • TENTS, SLEEPING BAGS and MATS, GROUND SHEETS, camping stoves and camping gas

Labelled “thick” black sacks may be left in the Church, behind the font, after 11.00 am on Friday 21st April.

If you are able to donate any of the items on this list, please bring them along to the Church (preferably in sealed thick black plastic sacks, to protect from the weather) on Sunday 23rd April, at 10.15 am (after the Church service).

Labelling the bag(s) clearly with the contents would be very helpful.

Donations can also be dropped off at the Church on Friday 21st April, after 11.00 am. Thank you in anticipation of your support.

URGENTLY NEEDED: Cash donations for help with transport costs

WI Coronation Tea Party

Saturday 29th April – WI Coronation Tea Party in the Village Hall.  3.00-5.00pm. Tickets are £10.00 each to include sandwiches, cream tea, cake and tea.  Free entry to browse stalls.  All proceeds to charities including DENS.  ALL WELCOME

Discovery Walk

DISCOVERY WALK – Coronation Monday, 8th May at 2.00pm.  Family friendly, guided walk with local points of interest.  Meet at Little Gaddesden church at 1.45pm.  Volunteer Marshalls needed for this event please, plus tray-bake offerings for the tea afterwards.  To volunteer and for more information, please contact Louise Archer on 07920 045474 or louise.m.archer@btinternet.com. Revision of the Electoral Roll

The annual revision of the church electoral roll for Little Gaddesden will take place this month in advance of the APCM in May. A copy of the current roll will be on display in the church from Sunday 16th to Monday 24th April, together with forms for anyone who wishes to be added to the roll. If you are already on the list, please take a moment to check that your details are correct. If you have changed your address since the last update in April 2022 or would like to be removed from the roll, please speak to Annabelle Grassini or email: electoral.roll@littlegaddesdenchurch.org.uk.

We now have the facility to donate to Little Gaddesden church by text. Just text LITTLEGADD plus the amount you want to donate (between £1 and £20) to 70470, for example ‘LITTLEGADD10’ to donate £10.  

Texts will cost the amount donated plus one standard rate message.

The Little Gaddesden Charities

The funds of The Little Gaddesden Charities are there to help and support those in financial need in the parish, especially at times when budgets are under particular pressure.

We also support young people in their endeavours, as well as the bereaved.
