Here are the services and other events coming up in Little Gaddesden Parish Church in the next few days.
Services are held at Little Gaddesden Church unless otherwise stated.
Parish Communion/Eucharist
A Sung Eucharist
Our most frequent Sunday morning service follows the traditional Anglican Communion, or Eucharistic, service. We have traditional hymns and the Gloria and Responses sung to the Patrick Appleford setting of the Mass in E. The service lasts for almost an hour. Refreshments are normally served afterwards.Midweek Discussion Group on Zoom
The Midweek Discussion Group meets via Zoom on Wednesday evenings.
The sessions start with a general welcome chat to hear how everyone is getting on, then some discussion often centred around a Bible passage, with a short time of prayer at the end. Everyone will be considered to be fully present if they have signed in, but there is no need to say or share anything. You can spend the whole time ‘mute’ if you wish!
There are the usual protocols about confidentiality, as anything shared must be respected as being confidential to the group. All are welcome, but if inviting others please contact Anthony first.
Do keep the ideas coming about topics that you would like to consider.
Sign is at 19.55 hrs and the sessions end at 9.30pm sharp. The Zoom invitation is sent a few days beforehand, usually with some background material.
Please contact Anthony Archer on anthony.archer@bridgewaterassociates.co.uk or 07721 504125 with any questions
Midweek Holy Communion (Said Eucharist)
This midweek eucharist is a spoken service, based on a modernised Book of Common Prayer, generally held on Thursdays at 10:00am. It lasts for a little under half an hour.

Anyone resident in the Parish is able to attend this meeting, at which the Church Wardens will be elected. It will be followed by the Annual Parochial Church Meeting, which only parishioners on the Electoral Roll can attend.
All parishioners on the Electoral Roll are very welcome to attend the Annual Parochial Church Meeting to find out what has been happening during the last year and to ask questions of the Vicar, the Churchwardens and other members of the PCC. The meeting follows on from the short Annual Parishioners’ Meeting, which anyone resident in the Parish is able to attend and at which the Church Wardens will be elected.
