Although services are getting back to normal, they’re still not quite as they used to be. Sunday services and the Thursday midweek communion services are now back in church. See the Services Calendar below for details of services available.
We are no longer broadcasting services on this website. For a few weeks, a live stream video of Sunday’s service should be available on Little Gaddesden Church’s Facebook page. If you are comfortable with Facebook tracking you*, click here for access. (Link opens in new tab.)

In normal times…
The regular pattern of services in Little Gaddesden Church is as follows:
[Not currently applicable – see Services Calendar below]
9:00am — Parish Communion with Sunday School
6:00pm — Evensong (Book of Common Prayer). Third Sunday at Nettleden.
Second Sunday of the Month
9:00am — Family Service, sometimes with communion.
Fifth Sunday of the Month
9:00am — Joint Parish Communion at one of Little Gaddesden, Great Gaddesden and Nettleden
6:00pm — Evensong (Book of Common Prayer)
10:00am — Midweek Holy Communion
There are some exceptions to the regular pattern. For example, our service on the second Sunday is sometimes switched with another Sunday for a particular occasion. Also, from time to time, we hold alternative services such as Taizé evensong. And, of course, there are additional services during busy festivals such as Christmas and Easter and on other special occasions. So please consult the Services Calendar below to see the services in the coming days. We try to give as much notice as possible of any changes from the usual.
Services are held in Little Gaddesden Church unless another church is specified or the service is online.

A Sung Eucharist with Sunday School.
Our most frequent Sunday morning service follows the traditional Anglican Communion, or Eucharistic, service. We have traditional hymns and the Gloria and Responses sung to the Patrick Appleford setting of the Mass in E. The service lasts for almost an hour. Sunday School for children is held in the adjoining vestry during the service, with the children joining in at the communion. Refreshments are served afterwards.
The Services Calendar is an interactive, filtered version of the complete Parish Calendar in an ‘Agenda’ style list. It shows only services and dates of particular note.
