There’s a variety of activities on offer for children and young people.
Pit Stop Café

Our children’s activity group, Pit Stop Café, provides activity sessions in the Thomas Field Hall for children aged up to 11 (under 5s accompanied by a parent), at a time convenient for them and their families. This currently runs on selected Saturday afternoons. Each session includes games, crafts, bible stories and refreshments and has a theme – for example Harvest, Remembrance or Lent. Before Christmas we rehearse for the much-anticipated Crib Service. For Mothering Sunday, the children make posies for their mothers and entertain them to tea and at Easter they help prepare the Easter Garden. They have also been involved in biodiversity projects in the churchyard, planting bulbs and wildflowers and helping build a bug hotel. Parents and carers are always welcome.

See the Services Calendar for specific dates.
Remembrance Pit Stop Café

At Pit Stop on Saturday 8th November, we heard about Len Hing, Ted Rogers and Billy Newman, who were pupils at Little Gaddesden School.
When World War II broke out, Len and Ted became soldiers and Billy joined the Royal Air Force. Sadly they all died as the result of their service.
We say thank you for their lives, given so we can live in freedom.
This Garden of Remembrance was made by the children at Pit Stop Café.
Holiday Club

A Children’s Holiday Club is held annually over 3 mornings at the end of August. Under 5s are normally accepted when accompanied by an adult. Parents are welcome as helpers or partakers. The 2025 Holiday Club considered Jesus’ sayings: “I am the bread of life”, “I am the Good Shepherd” and “I am the way, the truth and the life.” The cup and ball game shown in the photo demonstrated “bringing people to Jesus”.
Holiday Club is advertised through the Services Calendar and the Village School.

Young Minds
Young Minds‘ mission is to make sure all young people can get the mental health support they need, when they need it, no matter what.
“Whether they need a reassuring conversation, specialist mental health support, or simply the knowledge that they are not alone in how they are feeling, we will make sure that all young people get support that meets them where they’re at as quickly as possible.”
Headstrong
Headstrong is a Christian based on line resource working with Youthscape where teenagers can ask questions, tell their faith stories, listen to others, and do fun stuff.
