Tuesday Morning Coffee and Cake

Tuesday morning’s Coffee and Cake sessions are in the Thomas Field Hall – Tuesdays from 10:30am to 12:00 noon. Any enquiries to Hilary Catchpole at h.catchpole@btinternet.com .

BHA Gift Service

The BHA (British Humanitarian Aid) Gift service will take place on Sunday 11th December at 9.30am and will be followed by an Advent Breakfast. BHA have resumed shipments to Ukraine but still need cash donations to help with the increased transport costs.  If you can help, please call BHA on 01227 453434. If you are able to donate goods, the requirements are: Clothing and shoes for all age groups, bedding, toiletries, nappies (including adult), colouring books and crayons, small toys, washing powder, candles, matches, torches, tinned and dried foods (not cereals), long life milk, tea and coffee.  Crockery and cutlery, kettles, wheelchairs, crutches, wheeled walkers and sleeping mats. Please label bags clearly. Labelled bags may be left by the font from Friday 9th December.

DENS Gift Service at Great Gaddesden

Gift Service at GG on 11th December at 11.00am will be for DENS – Café Church.  Their high needs list is: FOOD – Christmas chocolates, Selection boxes, nuts, savoury crackers, tinned ham, sponge puddings, custard, long life milk, long life juice. KITCHEN/HYGIENE ITEMS – nappies (sizes 5,5+,6,6+,7), Men’s toiletries gift sets, women’s toiletries gift sets, 2in1 shampoo, shower gel, deodorants, roasting trays, tin foil, washing up liquid (small), Sellotape

No Experience Needed

NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED!!  We shall be decorating LG Church for Christmas on Friday 16th December from 9.30am and everyone is encouraged to come and help.  Tea and coffee plus mince pies will be served to help us with the enjoyable task. Donations of greenery/holly welcome – whether on the morning or left in the porch on the Thursday afternoon.  If you can, please do bring your own secateurs.  Please do let me know if you are coming so that we know how many people to expect.  We look forward to seeing you. Additional Choir Members for Christmas

The Christmas Carol Service this year is on Sunday 18th December at 6.00pm. If you would like to join us, you will need attend at least one choir practice. We now have the facility to donate to Little Gaddesden church by text. Just text LITTLEGADD plus the amount you want to donate (between £1 and £20) to 70470, for example ‘LITTLEGADD10’ to donate £10.  

Texts will cost the amount donated plus one standard rate message.

The Little Gaddesden Charities

The funds of The Little Gaddesden Charities are there to help and support those in financial need in the parish, especially at times when budgets are under particular pressure.

We also support young people in their endeavours, as well as the bereaved.
