Tuesday Morning Coffee and Cake

Tuesday morning’s Coffee and Cake sessions are in the Thomas Field Hall – Tuesdays from 10:30am to 12:00 noon. Any enquiries to Hilary Catchpole at h.catchpole@btinternet.com .

Book Launch – 1st December at 7pm

Book Launch – Before Modern Ideas – The Diary and Annals of Little Gaddesden, edited by Roger Bolton.  Thursday 1st December at 7pm in the TFH, Little Gaddesden.   All welcome to attend.  

Pitstop Coffee Club with wreath making

Thursday 1st December between 2.00pm and 5.00pm.  Pitstop Coffee Club this week will including the annual church wreath making workshop as well as providing Christingle for the children.  ALL WELCOME. Please bring greenery if you have any to spare and enjoy an afternoon of company and instruction!  The wreaths will be blessed at the end of the session.

No Experience Needed!!

We shall be decorating LG Church for Christmas on Friday 16th December from 9.30am and everyone is encouraged to come and help.  Tea and coffee plus mince pies will be served to help us with the enjoyable task. Donations of greenery/holly welcome – whether on the morning or left in the porch on the Thursday afternoon.  If you can, please do bring your own secateurs.  Please do let me know if you are coming so that we know how many people to expect.  We look forward to seeing you. The Travelling Crib

BHA Gift Service – Sunday 11th December at 9.30am

The Gift service will take place on Sunday 11th December at 9.30am and will be followed by an Advent Breakfast. BHA (British Humanitarian Aid) have resumed shipments to Ukraine but still need cash donations to help with the increased transport costs.  If you can help, please call BHA on 01227 453434. If you are able to donate goods, the requirements are: Clothing and shoes for all age groups, bedding, toiletries, nappies (including adult), colouring books and crayons, small toys, washing powder, candles, matches, torches, tinned and dried foods (not cereals), long life milk, tea and coffee.  Crockery and cutlery, kettles, wheelchairs, crutches, wheeled walkers and sleeping mats. Please label bags clearly. Labelled bags may be left by the font from Friday 9th December.

The Cancer Club

The Cancer Club meets in the Thomas Field Hall at the end of every month.  They are running an exhibition called “Living Our Best Life” in the Clock Room at Berkhamsted Town Hall on Advent Sunday, 27th November between 11am and 3pm.  The exhibition comprises 16 portraits of club members, most of whom will be there, and these have been made into a calendar.  These are £15.00 each and all proceeds are being given to the Hospice of St Francis.    Entry to the exhibition is free.  ALL WELCOME.

Midweek Discussion Group

The Midweek Discussion Group has resumed. The theme for this term is Studies in Hebrews.

We now have the facility to donate to Little Gaddesden church by text. Just text LITTLEGADD plus the amount you want to donate (between £1 and £20) to 70470, for example ‘LITTLEGADD10’ to donate £10.  

Texts will cost the amount donated plus one standard rate message.

The Little Gaddesden Charities

The funds of The Little Gaddesden Charities are there to help and support those in financial need in the parish, especially at times when budgets are under particular pressure.

We also support young people in their endeavours, as well as the bereaved.
