Walk and Ring

To raise money for the County Bell Restoration Fund.

Anyone can take part in all or some of the activities by making a donation or collecting sponsorship.

9.00 – 9.30 Ringing at Great Gaddesden
9.30 Start walk from GG to LG
10.30 Ringing available at LG
11.00 Start walk from LG to Aldbury
12.00 – 12.30 Ringing available at Aldbury
12.30 -1.30 Lunch in the Chapter House at Aldbury (pre-booking by 29 May 2019 necessary)

We will endeavour to keep LG and Aldbury bells available long enough to allow more leisurely walkers the opportunity to ring.

Morning Prayers – Thy Kingdom Come

Thy Kingdom Come

Thy Kingdom Come is a global prayer movement.  It invites Christians around the world to pray for more people to come to know Jesus.  From Ascension Day (Thursday 30th May) to Pentecost (Sunday 9th June). Light a Candle for the Hospice (Berkhamsted)

As part of the 40th anniversary celebrations, St Peter’s Church in Berkhamsted is recreating the silent Prayer Vigil that was held on 6th June 1979.  This vigil led to the founding of the Hospice of St Francis.  St Peter’s Church will provide a multi-faith, contemplative space to give thanks for the Hospice and to pray for its future. Berkhamsted Deanery Lecture

Berkhamsted Deanery Lecture

On Wednesday October 20th at 7.45pm, the Rev Simon Reed will be giving the Berkhamsted Deanery Lecture at St Mary’s Northchurch.

Simon is an Anglican minister with two churches in Ealing, West London. He is also one of the three Guardians of the Community of Aidan and Hilda, an international and cross-denominational network of Christians who draw inspiration from Celtic spirituality for the renewal of today’s church. He has been a seminar speaker at New Wine and Spring Harvest and also involved in leading their reflective worship stream. He is the author of “Creating Community: ancient ways for modern churches,” and “Followers of the Way: ancient discipleship for modern christians.”
