Fourth Annual Opera Concert
On Saturday 19 October 2019 Little Gaddesden Church hosts the fourth annual Opera Concert. As in previous years, The Hospice of St Francis and Little Gaddesden Church will share the proceeds from the event.
Once again, performers include Marianne Cotterill (Soprano), Jeanette Ager (Mezzo soprano), George Freeburn (Tenor) and Jonathan Fisher (Baritone). All of them have just returned from Japan where they have been singing with the Royal Opera Company. And they are also returning to Little Gaddesden after their most successful concert in October last year. Accompanying the soloists on the piano will be Viv McLean. Viv is also well known locally as well as internationally, not least for his interpretation of Gershwin. The programme is varied. It ranges from Verdi to Puccini and Bizet to Borodin. And there’ll be a sprinkling of Lehar and other well known arias and pieces.
The concert will commence at 7:30pm (doors open at 6:30pm). Tickets can be reserved at the Little Gaddesden Shop, on email at MCRoberts4@aol.com or by telephone on 01442 843444. The ticket price is £25, as last year. Everyone hopes that the two charities will benefit substantially from the generosity of those attending, who will also enjoy an outstanding and memorable evening.
The Hospice of St Francis is one of Little Gaddesden Church’s primary Outward Giving charities.
