    Tuesday Morning Coffee and Cake

    Tuesday morning’s Coffee and Cake sessions are in the Thomas Field Hall – Tuesdays from 10.30am to 12 noon. Any enquiries to Hilary Catchpole at h.catchpole@btinternet.com .

    Bike ‘n Hike

    Sponsored Bike ‘n Hike Saturday the 14th of September 2024.

    This years Sponsored Bike ‘n Hike in aid of Beds and Herts Historic Churches Trust will take place on Saturday the 14th of September between 9am and 5pm. Cyclists and hikers take part in visiting as many churches in Beds and Herts as they like during the day, raising money for the Historic Churches Trust. Many churches will be open, offering refreshments. Sponsor forms are available at the back of the churches for those wishing to take part.     Church Flower Arrangers’ Event

    This will take place on  Monday 23rd September at 7.30pm in The Thomas Field Hall, Little Gaddesden Church.  There will be a short talk on sustainability efforts followed by two short videos on sustainable ways to do church flowers.  A discussion will follow to see how these ideas can be used for Harvest Flowers and beyond.  Please let Anne Isherwood know if you would like to attend – anneisherwood@btinternet.com.     Harvest Festival

    HARVEST FESTIVAL – please note that the date of our Harvest Festival services has changed.  Harvest Festival will now be celebrated on Sunday 13th October.

    Jazz at St John’s

    Jazz at St John’s, Saturday 28th September at 7.30pm with Blue Harlem – an evening of Jazz and Swing at Great Gaddesden Church, HP4 3BY.  Featuring: Sophie Shaw, Al Nicholls, Paul Eldridge and Sandy Burnett.  Tickets £20 on 01442 246513 or online at www.wegottickets.com/event/624688.  Bar.

    The Midweek Discussion Group meets on Wednesday evenings.

    Regular Giving

    If you normally give weekly in church, you may like to consider paying direct through your bank account.    Click or tap here to visit the Donate Page to find out more. For those who do give this way, tokens to signify you have donated by this method are available on entry to the church, and they can be placed in the collection bag at the appropriate time.

    Pay by Text

    We now have the facility to donate to Little Gaddesden church by text. Just text LITTLEGADD plus the amount you want to donate (between £1 and £20) to 70470, for example ‘LITTLEGADD10’ to donate £10.  

    Texts will cost the amount donated plus one standard rate message.

    The funds of The Little Gaddesden Charities are there to help and support those in financial need in the parish, especially at times when budgets are under particular pressure.

    We also support young people in their endeavours, as well as the bereaved.
