We are preparing a memory book for John Russells retirement. Any photos of yourselves and your family at events with John -baptisms, weddings, parties, scouts etc etc – please send with names and date and a caption to Terri Adams: tadams1442@gmail.com before 1st June. Terri has the book and will be around the village collecting written entries as well. Or contact as above.
PARTY TIME. John Russell’s retirement party is on Sunday 8th June from 12 noon to 4pm in the Village Hall. Speeches at 2:30pm. EVERYONE WELCOME – please tell your friends and neighbours.
Bring and share plates of finger food (labelled please for allergy information) needed. Please let Linda Platt (07885 367875) know your contribution or sign up on sheets in the church. Alternatively cash donations towards the cost of drinks are welcome on the day.
Open Farm Sunday – 8th June
Gaddesden Home Farm (HP2 6EZ) will be open to the public as part of Open Farm Sunday on 8th June, 10am – 4pm. The day will feature trailer tours of the farm, family-friendly activities, live demonstrations and local food and drink. Proceeds to FOGGC and Gaddesden Place RDA. Booking required. Cycle Ride for VE80
Stuart Green has completed the cycle ride from Poland to Berlin to commemorate the 80th Anniversary of the Long March. Christian Aid week
CHRISTIAN AID WEEK 11th – 17th MAY 2025: there will be collections in LG church on 11th and 18th May and online donations can be made through Little Gaddesden’s e-envelope at: https://fundraise.christianaid.org.uk/envelope-2025/little-gaddesden-church-christian-aid-week-2025. This year’s Christian Aid Strawberry Cream Tea will be on Saturday 31st May 3-5pm in the Thomas Field Hall, £5, under 5’s free.
Tuesday Morning Coffee and Cake
Tuesday morning’s Coffee and Cake sessions are in the Thomas Field Hall – Tuesdays from 10.30am to 12 noon. Any enquiries to Hilary Catchpole at h.catchpole@btinternet.com .

We now have the facility to donate to Little Gaddesden church by text. Just text LITTLEGADD plus the amount you want to donate (between £1 and £20) to 70470, for example ‘LITTLEGADD10’ to donate £10.
Texts will cost the amount donated plus one standard rate message.
The Little Gaddesden Charities
The funds of The Little Gaddesden Charities are there to help and support those in financial need in the parish, especially at times when budgets are under particular pressure.
We also support young people in their endeavours, as well as the bereaved.
