Pitstop Group – CANCELLED
Please note that the Pitstop Group session, due to take place on Saturday 7th June in The Thomas Field Hall between 2-4pm has been cancelled.
Open Farm Sunday
Gaddesden Home Farm (HP2 6EZ) will be open to the public as part of Open Farm Sunday on 8th June, 10am – 4pm. The day will feature trailer tours of the farm, family-friendly activities, live demonstrations and local food and drink. Proceeds to FOGGC and Gaddesden Place RDA. Booking required. Public Meeting
Invitation to a public meeting regarding the recruitment process for a new minister, including Bishop Jane and Archdeacon Charles of the Diocese of St Albans. Venue: Thomas Field Hall. Date: Wednesday 25 June 2025 Time: 19:30. The purpose is to discuss and work through the challenges, opportunities and key attributes of a new incumbent to replace John Russell. This will include work on our parish profiles (one for each parish) for which break out groups may be appropriate. Any final profile statements will be approved by the Bishop and the respective PCC before any advertising of the position can commence. All are welcome, including congregations from all three Churches, representatives from the schools, local communities, and other clubs and activities. If you have any comments or queries ahead of this meeting please contact the churchwardens for your parish.
John Russell’s Leaving Party
John’s leaving party will be on 8th June, 12-4pm at Little Gaddesden Village Hall. Speeches at 2.30pm. Bring and share plates of food – please let Linda Platt know what you would like to bring. We now have the facility to donate to Little Gaddesden church by text. Just text LITTLEGADD plus the amount you want to donate (between £1 and £20) to 70470, for example ‘LITTLEGADD10’ to donate £10.
Texts will cost the amount donated plus one standard rate message.
The Little Gaddesden Charities
The funds of The Little Gaddesden Charities are there to help and support those in financial need in the parish, especially at times when budgets are under particular pressure.
We also support young people in their endeavours, as well as the bereaved.
