Coronavirus

Following the recent changes to Government regulations, we can slightly relax some restrictions.

From the 19thJuly please, when in church:

  • Maintain social distancing from those not in your household or care bubble,
  • Mask wearing is no longer obligatory, but is recommended.
  • Singing is permitted behind masks.
  • Continue to use the hand cleanser at the door.
  • Receive Holy Communion as current practice.

Please await further guidance on the serving of refreshments after services.

Harvest Festival

This year, we are collecting goods for the Chiltern Foodbank – www.chiltern.foodbank.org.uk.  Gifts of food are welcome especially UHT Milk, tinned sardines, long life fruit juice, sponge puddings, tinned/packet soup, tinned custard, shampoo.

Bishop of St Albans’ Harvest Appeal

The Bishop of St Albans’ Harvest Appeal – Water is Life.  This appeal aims to bring clean water to many communities in the Democratic Republic of Congo.  For more details visit www.harvestappeal.org and click on the Tearfund tap picture where your donation will be collected on behalf of the church.

Tuesday Morning Coffee and Cake

Berkhamsted Deanery Lecture

Wednesday 20th October at 7.45pm at St Mary’s Church, Northchurch, given by Revd Simon Reed. 

Revd Simon Reed is an Anglican minister with two churches in Ealing, West London.  He is also one of the three Guardians of the Community of Aidan and Hilda, an international and cross-denominational network of Christians who draw inspiration from Celtic spirituality for the renewal of today’s church.  He has been a seminar speaker at New Wine & Spring Harvest and also involved in leading their reflective worship stream.  He is the author of “Creating Community: ancient ways for modern churches,” and “Followers of the Way: ancient discipleship for modern Christians.”

Parking is available at St Mary’s Primary School, New Road, Northchurch.

Memorial Service for Julie Leonhardt
