The final details in the last week.
We have strong cast brass hooks to hold the outside doors open securely. They are finished in satin steel to match the door handles and have been very carefully positioned on the walls with their loops carefully positioned on the doors.

For the first two weeks, there will only be one service, but all being well, we will gradually introduce more services in each of the churches. The service will be live streamed to the Little Gaddesden Church Facebook page*.
This Sunday will be a Sung Eucharist in Little Gaddesden at 9.30am, with the restrictions that many of you will be familiar with from before Christmas. This means:
I am sorry this still seems draconian, but it’s the best news we have had in months, made possible by the introduction of effective vaccines and the rapid decline in Covid-19 infection.

The floodlights light up the church and its nearer surroundings, but the churchyard is very dark in the night. However, we didn’t want too much light to be spread generally so we have had low oak posts put in with small downlights to give just little pools of light only where they need to be. The edge of the grass had to be dug up in order to lay the underground ductwork taking the electric cable to the lights, but it will soon grass over and settle down and the daffodils will come through again.
