Thomas Field Hall: Concrete Foundations Poured

The Archaeological surveyors finally completed their excavations on Thursday and the builders moved very quickly, ordering the concrete for the foundations which were poured on Friday afternoon.

Pour it in… The new foundations for The Thomas Field Hall are now in place.

The bricklayers are due to start today (Monday) and the walls will start to rise.  The stripping out of the existing vestry is practically finished and the new drainage connections have all been completed, along with digging out the rainwater soakaway in the churchyard, which was full up with silt.

The first of the monthly Progress meetings will be held on Wednesday morning and we hope that now the building work has started it will continue without any hold ups, subject, of course, to Covid-19 keeping away.
